Mountain and road ride leader

Role

To keep the whole thing rolling along!

Always happy to give straightforward advice on any aspect of bikes and cycling.

I have used my many years of experience to bring our customers great products we believe in – if we don’t use it we don’t sell it.

How I ride

Fast round corners and downhill – where old racing skills make up for too much weight and too little fitness!

I have raced MTB, road, cyclocross and time trial.

Competed in a couple of triathlons, The 3 Peaks, Fred Whitton, Passportes du Soliel to name a few.

About Me

Cycling has been my life, my passion, my livelihood. I have met some wonderful people through cycling and always look forward to meeting more who share my passion.

Phil: Cafe Manager

Experience & Qualifications

Level 2 Food Hygeine

Level 2 MTB Leader (BC MTBLA)

Outdoor First aid certificate (I also know how to help inside!)

I’m also an ex IT teacher and therefore the shop’s resident geek!

Role

My role is to look after the day to day running of the café and promote the social and community aspects of The Green Jersey, such as events and rides.

I’m here for more than just coffee and cake though! I’m always happy to offer advice on bikes, clothing and accessories.

How I ride

Cycling is a sociable event for me and I’m always up for a big ride and a challenge, whether it’s on or off road.

I love to see my STRAVA stats build up through the year, I’m always keen to go a bit further than last time even if it’s not any faster!

This year I’m looking to do some 24hr events and multiple day trips, I’ve done loads of research on bikepacking kit, lights and clothing for this!

About Me

I’m not a life-long cyclist, so I know what it’s like to learn the ropes as an adult, and I’m still learning them! I started to ride regularly around 2006 and since then it’s become a massive part of my life.

Aidan: Sales Assistant

Experience & Qualifications

8 years experience working in bike shops

Graduate Sports Therapist and Qualified Bike-Fitter

Role

My role is to pass on my knowledge and experience to ensure you leave the shop with the products you need. With my background racing road races, time trials, hill climbs and now triathlons I can associate with all your needs. On top of that I can help give advice on training and injuries to ensure you and your bike work in harmony.

How I ride

I hold a 2nd category BC licence and race regularly throughout the season on the road, in TTs and up short steep climbs. For my sins I also sometimes swim before a ride and run after but we won’t go into that.

About Me

My passion for cycling goes further than just racing. Being clipped into the pedals and exploring old and new routes rain or shine is my idea of a perfect day…

Away from cycling I treat injured athletes through my business, AH Sports Therapy.
